Antonia Liapis is a committed business educator with a Bachelor of Commerce from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson). She began her career in media sales at News Marketing Canada before transitioning to public education in 2009, joining the Peel District School Board as a Business teacher. For over 15 years, she has also served as a DECA advisor, mentoring students in leadership and entrepreneurship. Her teaching philosophy centers on creating engaging, inclusive learning experiences that build confidence and foster critical thinking. Known for her caring and patient approach, Antonia is deeply committed to supporting all types of learners. Antonia is an active community member and has contributed to several major educational publications, including: Thompson Publishing’s International Business (Content Editor) and Wiley’s Business Management (Content Developer & Editor). She was also part of the Peel team that created a course pack for the new Grade 10 Business curriculum and received the OSSTF Teacher Recognition Award in 2021. Outside of work, Antonia enjoys spending time with her family. Her personal interests include dancing, traveling the world, and watching movies—activities that reflect her vibrant spirit and love for culture and connection.
