It is my great pleasure to join the Toronto International Oslife School community as Principal. I am honoured to be part of a school guided by the values of academic excellence, student well‑being, and the development of globally minded learners who are prepared to pursue their passions and work towards achieving their goals. With 31 years of experience in public education, including 17 years in high school administration, I have had the privilege of serving diverse school communities in a wide range of teaching and educational leadership roles. These experiences have shaped my belief that strong relationships, inclusive practices, and high expectations for all learners are essential to student success. My professional background also includes extensive classroom experience as a teacher of English as a Second Language and International Languages. Working closely with multilingual learners and students from varied cultural backgrounds has reinforced my commitment to equity, belonging and culturally responsive teaching. I have seen first-hand how language learning and global perspectives can open doors, build confidence, and empower students to thrive both academically and personally. Additionally, I have organized and led reciprocal student exchange programs that provided meaningful opportunities for students to develop inter-cultural understanding, build international connections, and deepen their appreciation of the world beyond the classroom. These experiences continue to inform my belief in experiential learning and the importance of preparing students for success in an increasingly interconnected global community. I am eager to work collaboratively with the dedicated team of educators, consultants, administrators and support staff at TIOS to continue the tradition of ensuring an engaging, inclusive and dynamic learning environment. Together, we will continue to support innovation, student voice and academic achievement, while ensuring that every student feels valued, included, and inspired to reach their full potential. I look forward to partnering with students, families, and staff as we build on the strengths of Toronto International Oslife School and work together to support each learner in pursuing their passions and achieving their academic goals.
